We are also joining a local charity this holiday season. Sleep In Heavenly Peace is located across the United States, but there are two chapters very close to us. One in Troy MO and one in Alton IL. This program makes beds for little kids in need of a place to sleep. Each bed needs a quilt and pillowcase. OSewpersonal's goal is to collect as many TWIN SIZED Quilts as we can by Dec 16th. We are suggesting you use the 3yard quilt books and make a twin size using 6 yards of fabric. We have a great display of premade kits at a great low price of $48. You can make either a quilt or 6 pillowcases with this bundle. You can drop them off fully quilted and bound, or just tops and we will get them all connected to little elves to finish them. We will be presenting the donation to Sleep in Heavenly Peace the 2nd week of January. This is a great way to help little ones and be involved with the community, plus we all love to sew!!!
If you want one shipped or made special for you to be ready for pick up this week you can order here, or you can stop in the shop and pick one out. You can also "give" a bundle to OSP and we will find a quilter to make it or use the yardage for needed backing if you don't have time to help.
