Electric Quilt 8 is excellent software to help you design a quilt using built in quilt layouts, blocks, and fabrics; or you can design your own quilt from scratch! After designing the quilt, you can try out many different color ways using built in fabrics; add your own photos, scans, and images of fabrics from manufacturers; or obtain both free or purchased fabrics from Electric Quilt.com. You can print an image of the quilt, rotary cutting instructions, and fabric requirements. The software has much to offer, but can be overwhelming initially, and this class can help you get started! If you have previously purchased EQ8 but rarely use it, or if you are thinking about buying the program, then this class is for you. Attendees must have their own copy of EQ8 on a laptop for the class. (If you want to sit in and see if you want to purchase EQ8 you can sign up for the class and purchase after the class, you still have to pay for the class though)

Electric Quilt Software Club
Mondays 2-4 starting Sept 26th

The Electric Quilt (EQ) Software Club will help users of either EQ7 or EQ8 use their software more effectively. The club will focus on how to design many different types of quilts, draw unique blocks, import images, add embroidery files, and upload personally chosen fabrics. In addition, we will discuss printing quilts, fabric requirements, rotary cutting directions, and templates for foundation piecing. Attendees would benefit most from bringing a laptop to the club.

The EQ Software Club will meet in person monthly on the fourth Monday of each month from 2 pm to 4 pm. Please join us in this journey to a more fun and enjoyable digital quilting experience!

Club Activities:

- Learn how to use the software effectively with a different topic each month

- Share your EQ8 printed plans and finished projects.

- Share concerns, questions, and answers with both novice and expert users!

We will not meet in December due to Christmas Holiday.
