Freemotion on your Domestic Machine - MO

Learn to finish your own quilts on your home sewing machine. You will learn the basics of creating a
quilt sandwich, the right threads and needles to choose to avoid problems, and the proper set up of
your work area for success. Then we’ll learn several different quilting patterns that can be used as fillers,
borders, or overall designs on your quilt. This is a real hands-on class with lots of skill building.
Supplies Needed:
*8 muslin squares, 14” x 14”
*4 squares of 100% cotton batting 14” x 14”
One spool of colored thread
Two bobbins filled with a second color of thread
Marking pencil
Straight edge ruler
Small scissors
Small, curved safety pins
Tweezers
Sewing machine with sharp needle (size 80)
Table attachment for your machine
Sewing machine manual
Free motion foot (mandatory)
Quilting gloves
