Supplies needed for class:
Sewing Machine, cord & pedal
• Coordinating Thread and bobbins
• Rotary Cutter & Mat
• 6 ½’ square or larger (9 ½, 10 ½ , 12 ½ ) Rotary Ruler
• Marking Pen, Pencil (Frixion works well)
• Scissors
• Pins &/or Wonder Clips
• Seam Ripper, etc.
• Iron & ironing mat (you are welcome to use ours)
**Class will focus on assembling 1-STAR BLOCK
Pre-class work:
• To focus on BLOCK ASSEMBLY during class it would be helpful to have your fabrics precut and labeled by sizes BEFORE CLASS. I find it helpful to label the different sizes with a Post-it Note; I like to use wonder clips to attach the paper to the cut pieces, but pins are great too!
• If you don’t have time to precut your fabrics; no problem! We can help you in class. Just know that you may not have time to complete both sample blocks during the class.
• Feel free to bring a drink &/or snack to class; we do have a small refrigerator in the classroom.

2. Color Placement in a pattern
3. How to obtain an accurate 1/4” Seam Allowance
