Quilt measures 46” x 56”
Fabric Supplies:
2 packages of 5” squares assorted colors (or 1 1/2 yard to cut your own)
2 rolls of 1 1/2” strips (or 3 1/2 yards of assorted colors to cut your own)
1 Roll 1 1/2” background strips (or 1 3/4 yards to cut your own)
1 yard border fabric
1/2 yard binding fabric
3 1/4 yards backing fabric
Sewing Supplies:
Sewing machine, foot pedal & cord
Coordinating Thread and Bobbins
Rotary Cutter, Mat and Ruler (6 1/2” x 24” or similar)
Post-it notes, Painters Tape or similar; for marking cutting lines on Ruler
Basic sewing supplies: pins, wonder clips, scissors, seam ripper, etc
Special Supplies:
Pattern: Pineapple by Missouri Star Quilt Company
*Creative Grids Pineapple Trim Tool* (for 10” Block)
Instructions before FIRST CLASS:
Fabric must be selected and brought to class #1
If not using precuts, as listed above, Cut (2) 2 1/2” squares for the centers, 8-2 1/2 x 4" rectangles for corners and 10-15 strips (1 1/2” wide or greater) from your colored fabric AND background fabric
Pattern: is included with the Pineapple Ruler, the MSQC (Missouri Star Quilt Company)

Class Objectives:
1. Learn how to read and follow a pattern
2. Color Placement: improve color coordination & placement within a Quilt
3. New Technique: learn how to use the Pineapple Trim Tool
4. Rotary Cutting: improve accuracy of rotary cutting
Class #1:
We will cut out 1-2 blocks and sew together using the Pineapple Trim Tool.
