Beginner Quilt Class / MO

We will be making a 5 yard quilt this year! Yah! The book that we are working out of is STEP IT UP , and the pattern is TANGO.
YOU MUST HAVE A WORKING SEWING MACHINE AND KNOW HOW TO USE IT.
Class runs for two weeks and at the end of that time you should have a completed quilt top.
Quilting and binding will be discussed and you can finish these at home or send to your favorite Long Arm Quilter.
First Week:
Learn to cut fabric, how to a read a pattern, sew rails, square up blocks, and prepare for your homework.
Second Week:
Add borders to complete your quilt top.

We will demonstrate how to make and apply binding

Supply List:
Book: Step it up by Fabric Cafe
Pattern: Tango
Sewing Machine with foot pedal and power cord (be sure you know how to use it!)
Coordinating Thread and bobbins
Basic Sewing Supplies; pins, scissors, wonder clips, seam ripper, etc
Rotary Cutter and Mat
Ruler for Rotary Cutting: 6 1/2" x 22"* (approximate)
Fabric Requirements:
5- 1.25 yard coordinating Fabrics, (to allow for mistakes in cutting) plus an addition 1/2 yard of fabric for your binding.
