Machine Service & Repairs at O'Sewpersonal
We service Bernina, Bernette, Janome, Elna, Necchi, New Home, Kenmore (model 385), and vintage Singer Featherweights and Singer 301A*. We also service Bernina, Janome, and Handi-Quilter Long arms. We do not service overlockers or multi-needle embroidery machines on site. A full-service COA consists of a 30-point check by our Bernina and Janome authorized sewing machine technicians. *For all other vintage sewing machine (all makes/models) service, we recommend our colleague John Streeter at (636) 377-1323 or jstreeter@verizon.net

What is a COA?
A COA is an industry standard acronym for a sewing machine's annual full service - C=Cleaning, O= Oiling and A=Adjusting. A COA includes cleaning exterior and internal components and inspecting them for damage and wear. It also includes oiling and lubricating as per guidelines and adjusting a comprehensive checklist of tensions, timing, balance, needle alignment, and more. Finally, the machine is tested for various stitch and machine functions.
How often should I get a COA?
You should bring your machine in once a year. This professional level of service gives you much more than the self-care we recommend in the guide classes. Create a unique date that makes it easy to remember your annual need for service to keep your machine in optimum condition.
Warranty Parts and Labor
If your machine is under warranty, all applicable warranty parts will be covered. Labor is provided free of charge within the first year of the purchase date. After the first year, hourly labor is charged. Please bring your receipt at the time of drop-off to confirm your warranty status.
